EBEC Challenge is a competition that is made out of two phases (Case Study and Team Design) where students are gathered in teams of four. With it, we promote team work which has great significance in the business environment. Moreover, you will improve important skills like time management, organizational skills, duty management and cooperation.
Teams will present their methods and conclusions through both Case Study and Team Design.
Team design is consisted of solving a certain practical engineering problem within a limited time interval with limited resources. You will need to create a device that will be able to do a simple given functionality. Presentations of made devices are done through a series of functionality tests.
Case study is consisted of solving a theoretical tech or engineering problem. Participants present their solutions in front of an expert jury.
Winners of local EBEC Challenge will continue their adventure on a higher (regional) level where they will face a bigger problem. This year’s regional competition will take place in Niš (Serbia).

Ana Tkalac Verčič
Ana Tkalac Verčič is a full time professor at the Department of Economics at Economics faculty – Zagreb. She graduated from the Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Philosophy University of Zagreb and Ph.D. at the Faculty of Economics – Zagreb. As a Fulbright scholar she has been at the University of Maryland, USA. Has a diploma from prestigious British CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations). Areas in which she is engaged in encompass various communication disciplines primarily in the areas of marketing communication, public relations, advertising and internal communications. He has published numerous papers in the recognized international scientific journals, and held several invited lectures. She is the president of Croatian Public Relations Associations.
